The owner Marco, his wife Cristina and their friend Raffaella will welcome you warmly to this ancient 16th century palazzo that has been completely renovated and transformed into a characteristic guest house. They will be at your complete disposal to provide all the information you need about Venice to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

At Locanda la Corte we also organize enjoyable excursions to the many Venetian islands, or pleasant walking tours, with private guide, in search of those hidden places where you will get a taste of real Venetian life. For all of our guests who wish to come to Venice to celebrate a special event, we will organize a series of pleasant surprises.

In the morning during the summer, we will be happy to serve you an abundant breakfast in our typical interior courtyard , which is, of course, included in the price of the room.

The Locanda overlooks a typical navigation canal and it also has its own private entrance for those who wish to arrive comfortably by water taxi.

Where We Are

The Locanda La Corte is located in Calle Bressana, in the "sestiere" or quarter of Castello, just a stone's throw from Campo SS. Giovanni e Paolo, in the heart of the old city of Venice, in an exceptionally quiet area that is easily reached on foot from St. Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge.
The inn is near some of the most important sites of Venetian art, including the Church of Saints Peter and Paul, the largest Gothic church in the city, which was erected between the 12th and 14th centuries, the church of Santa Maria Formosa of 1492 with its Baroque bell tower, completed in 1688, and the Church of Santa Maria dei Miracoli, a masterpiece made of polychrome marble which was erected some time between 1481 and 1489 by the Lombardos. From here you can also reach some of the oldest parts of the city such as the island of San Pietro di Castello with its church that was the cathedral of Venice up to 1807, the year in which St. Mark's Basilica went from being the private chapel of the Doge to the city cathedral; and the entire Castello quarter, the area that is most populated by Venetians.

HOW TO REACH US BY TRAIN OR BY CAR
If you are arriving from the railway station or from Piazzale Roma (the car terminal), you can take boat line 52; tickets cost € 3.10 per person. Get off at the Fondamente Nuove stop (the nearest stop to the inn), turn left and follow the Fondamenta along the lagoon for approximately 200 meters. After passing the second bridge turn right immediately and follow the Fondamenta along the Canale dell'Ospedale until you reach Campo SS. Giovanni e Paolo. Here, to the right of the Rosa Salva pastry shop, you'll find Calle Bressana: 50 meters and you've arrived! We recommend that you be sure to ask for line 52 to Fondamente Nuove. Every boat stop has a ticket office.

BOAT TIMES
From Piazzale Roma: from 06:26 to 20:06 at 6, 26 and 46 minutes past each hour, then at 20:06, 20:26, 20:46, 21:06, 21:16, 21:36, 21:56, 22:16, 22:36, 22:56 - 23:16 - 23:36 - 23:56 - 00:16 - 00:36 - 00:56.
From the railway station boats leave 4 minutes later.

FROM THE AIRPORT
From Marco Polo Airport you can take the bus line as far as Piazzale Roma, then you can take boat line 52 as explained above.
Or you can use the ALILAGUNA service. Tickets cost € 10.00 per person and you can reach the Fondamente Nuove Stop by water and then proceed to the inn as explained above.
Please note!! This service for Fondamente Nuove only operates between 11:18 and 19:18, every hour, and it may be subject to variation depending on the period in question.
Otherwise, you can get off at the San Marco stop and ask for directions to Campo SS. Giovanni e Paolo, which is approximately 15 minutes on foot from St. Mark's square (also see the map on our site).

TAXI
If you take a water taxi it will bring you directly to the door of the inn as we have a private landing place. This service is available from the Airport (approximately 30 minutes), from the railway station and from Piazzale Roma (approximately 15 minutes) at a cost (including baggage and for up to 4 passengers) of approximately € 60.00 from Piazzale Roma and the Railway station, and approximately € 80.00 from the airport. However, prices should be agreed upon with the taxi driver prior to departure. Venetian taxis (with a supplement to be agreed upon prior to departure) may transport up to 12 people with baggage. Ask for our inn directly, Fondamenta dei Felzi, Calle Bressana, Campo SS. Giovanni e Paolo.
